This Wentworth By The Sea Country Club wedding was defined by an intentional and calming atmosphere. See the palpable sense of peace with the dreamy results.
Setting the scene for this Wentworth By The Sea Country Club Wedding
The historic venue is set on the New Hampshire coast, overlooking the peaceful waters and endless sailboats. The iconic Gilded Age architecture is both grand and elegant, embodying the luxurious coastal feel that you can only find in New England. Just steps away from the Wentworth By The Sea’s graceful entrance, Meghan and Michael had their first look. Although it was a rainy day, they shared a beautiful sense of calm and ease. Meghan’s dress was simple, yet timeless. The gown’s tasteful train beautifully balanced her fitted bodice and understated jewelry. Her sleek updo completed the look, with subtle pearl accents that cascaded down her veil. Michael’s ensemble was equally timeless, featuring a classic black bowtie, blue suit jacket, and patent leather shoes.
An Atmosphere of Warmth and Peace
Due to an unpredictable downpour of rain, their ceremony had to be moved from an al fresco setting to the Wentworth By The Sea Country Club’s indoor pavilion. Despite this last-minute change in plans, the couple and their loved ones upheld the celebrations. Unphased by the rainy moments, the couple focused on the purpose of their day: their marriage. Their support system stood by their side. In fact, their wedding party consisted of three people: Michael’s best man, and Meghan’s two sisters as co-maids of honor. The result was an intimate, yet calming feel throughout their wedding. That very feeling is palpable within their imagery a serene, yet grounded atmosphere of romance.
Wentworth By The Sea Country Club Wedding: The Indoor Ceremony and Reception
Although the events had to be moved indoors, the results were no less breathtaking. Their color palette included soft blue and white hues, invoking the peace of the New Hampshire coast. The gilded character of their venue was tied in with gold accents on the curated tablescapes. This simple color palette created a cohesive atmosphere throughout the day, from the personalized name cards to the custom menus and linens. The indoor ceremony was backdropped by a grand fireplace, adorned with lush white and green floral installments to tie in the details.
Thoughtful Moments Captured
Keeping with the thoughtful and intentional theme of their wedding, rather than providing favors for their guests, the couple donated to the Jimmy Fund benefitting the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, a cause close to their hearts. This touch was so unique and personal, and spoke to just how caring this couple is. Their gentle presence together was encapsulated so beautifully with the film and digital portraits. The weather cleared just in time to capture their bride and groom photos outside, overlooking the harbor full of sailboats and calm waters.
