If you have been following my work for a while now, you know that I specialize in Maternity and Motherhood sessions. They are some of my absolute favorites to photograph!
When Meagan told me that she wanted an epic background her maternity photos, the best location I could suggest was Foss Mountain. So I laced up my boots, and we made the trip up the mountain. We drove the first part of the way and then hiked for the remainder of the journey. The hike actually wasn’t all that bad. We were able to get that picturesque backdrop at the top that Meagan wanted. Foss Mountain is known for its relatively easy hikes and stunning views. Its trails are popular during all seasons during the year, and it’s a sought out place for photography sessions.
The weather was absolutely perfect for their maternity session! It ended up being slightly overcast with no wind and just over 60 degrees. The colors of dresses that Meagan brought with her were so pretty. They complimented the surrounding views from the top of the mountain. We actually ended up having the entire location to ourselves! Did you know that I also offer a full maternity dress closet for my clients? The final dress of the evening came from that closet that all clients have access to and she rocked it! When it came time for the sunset, it was like it was made just for us that night! These are the kind of photo sessions that when you leave to head home, you can’t wait to get to your computer and start editing!
