I absolutely loved Simone and Nate’s engagement session at Monument Square in the Charlestown neighborhood in Boston. This couple is seriously so amazing!

Simone and Nate met at work at a PR agency in Boston in April 2017. They were friends the majority of that year and began dating just two months before Simone moved to San Francisco. Simone and Nate dated long distance for that year until she moved back to Boston a few years later. Nate proposed when one weekend in Stowe, VT. It was pouring rain on that Saturday, so they spent the day exploring the local breweries.

Before dinner they went to the hotel lobby for a drink. In the lobby there was a huge Christmas tree made out of poinsettias. Nate asked a stranger to take a photo of them in front of it and as she was taking their picture, he proposed! The stranger took so many pictures and videos! Simone and Nate went out to
dinner in town at Harrison’s, and their friends sent them a bottle of champagne. Afterwards, they went to a bar to celebrate with many strangers!

When I first met Simone and Nate, it was in late May and I was very pregnant. Amazingly enough, the weather almost felt like it was fall, and their engagement session honestly couldn’t have been more perfect! I waddled around Charlestown with Simone and Nate exploring all of the landmarks that have been important to them throughout their time together.

We started their engagement session at Monument Square and continued our way down to Monument Avenue. Monument Square is a historical area in Boston that encompasses the original location of The Battle of Bunker Hill in June 1775. We eventually ended up down by the water and got to experience the large boats shooting off their cannons. I loved the mix of the old and new buildings in the background! There is always a gorgeous spot for couples photos in Boston!

Simone and Nate have the cutest French bulldog named Brimley, who they absolutely love and adore. I was so excited when he came out at the end of their session, and I got to meet him! These two are saying “I do” next year in Rhode Island. They strategically planned their wedding date around the blooming of Simone’s mother’s hydrangeas. How sweet!

I can’t wait to capture their special day! Boston is such a fun place for engagement photos! Be sure to contact me to schedule an engagement session in Boston!
