I’m so excited to be back at The Gardens of Uncanoonuc Mountain hosting my second annual Motherhood Event! I curated this event to celebrate mothers and every reason why they are so important. I left last year’s event with my heart so full and already planning this year’s Motherhood Event. Both new and returning clients attended last year who left feeling as worthy as they are. In celebration of this year’s upcoming event, I wanted to take a trip down memory lane and show some highlights from my first ever Motherhood Event!

Last year, I had the honor of photographing six beautiful moms and their children of all ages. Over the years, I have photographed families from pregnancy, welcoming the birth of their newborns all the way up through adulthood.  With every family session I have captured, we always reminisce on how the years pass by so far too quickly. Some of the clients who attended last year’s event took a trip down memory lane. We reminisced on their children’s newborn sessions or their first cake smash. Motherhood is such a unique and bittersweet experience where time is a thief. I truly love and cherish every relationships that I have established with each of my families. They have welcomed me into their lives as if I were another member of their family.

When I became a mom, I realized that being a mom is hands down the most difficult and rewarding job that we will ever have. Mothers give so much of themselves to everyone else. We learn how to navigate through this world differently as a mother. We try to be the best versions of ourselves for our children and to be the role models our children deserve. From experiencing Motherhood, to being welcomed into the lives of the families whom I’ve captured throughout the years, truly drove the inspiration to  create The Motherhood Event.

I wanted to create a day for all mothers to know just how beautiful and special they are. Their constant devotion, time, unconditional love, compromising, giving more than they have and the inspiration that all moms have for their children and their family is beyond beautiful. I hope you enjoy these photos from last year’s event and hopefully I’ll see you this year!

BEHIND THE LENS

As an award-winning wedding photographer I've come to understand that the most valuable moments don't announce themselves with fanfare; they whisper quietly and pass by unnoticed, leaving only memories in their wake.

You deserve to hold onto those moments, to relive them whenever you want. It's about you and your story, and I'm here to help you capture and preserve those beautiful moments for a lifetime.
