There’s something uniquely captivating about Charleston, South Carolina. With its historical charm, pastel-colored homes, and cobblestone streets, this city has an undeniable allure that draws couples from all over.

This session, captured on Kodak 400 and 800 film with my trusted Nikon F5, did not disappoint. What made this day even more special was that I allowed myself to step away from the technical side of photography and focus purely on creativity and the beauty unfolding before me. I didn’t meter the film. I didn’t check settings. Instead, I let the moment guide me, and in doing so, I was able to truly experience the heart of this session without getting caught up in the technicalities.

A Historic Backdrop & Fashion-Forward Details

Charleston, with its mix of history and elegance, provided the ideal setting for this day. Michael and Christie were the perfect match for the city’s timeless beauty, dressed in stunning wedding attire. Christie wore an elegant dress from Andrea’s Bridal, paired with chic furry heels, while Michael looked sharp in a black corduroy suit. Their outfits were not only fashionable but also perfectly complemented the vibrant, historical streets of Charleston.

As we explored the charming streets of downtown, we found ourselves immersed in the city’s rich architecture and colorful buildings.
