Audra and Mitchell’s wedding at The Red Barn at Outlook Farm, just on the outskirts of Portsmouth NH, was such a joyous and loving celebration! The pandemic caused lot of couples to reschedule their wedding plans, with some eloping and having another celebration later. This was exactly what happened with Audra and Mitchell. When we had our discovery call, I knew that I wanted to be their wedding photographer and document their day. We immediately messed so well and it was if we’d known one another for years.

Even though they got married a year prior, their wedding and reception was worth the wait. Once I stepped into their hotel rooms, where everyone was getting ready, you could feel the love and excitement. Audra and Mitchell were absolutely giddy with excitement and it was as if they were saying forever for the first time. They were both just as excited to say “I do” to one another as they had one year prior. When they both said “I do”, I actually cried. One thing my couples know about me is that I am just as emotionally invested in their relationships as they are. I knew how much this moment meant to them. The moment where they were finally able to live out their dream day, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. I was blessed to be a part of capturing that story. Mitchell, who is the sweetest romantic, had one of the most romantic surprises for Audra to make this day complete.

Maine Wedding Day Surprises

Mitchell had everyone tipping their hats to him for just how romantic his surprise to Audra was. Even though they had already gotten married and exchanged rings, Mitchell gave Audra another wedding band that day. Each band symbolized each time they said and promised forever to one another. If you read my blog post on their engagement session, you already know that Mitchell is a pilot. His cufflinks were specially made for him with parts from his airplane! They wrote new vows to read to each other and Audra even wore the same dress from a year prior. She looked even more stunning in it the second time around.

Audra and Mitchell chose The Red Barn at Outlook Barn, just outside of Portsmouth, as their wedding venue. They had a lovely ceremony outdoors with their reception indoors at the venue. In keeping with the airplane theme throughout the day, they had airplane bottle openers as their wedding favors. They also had signs on their chairs at the sweetheart table that said “Pilot” and “Co-Pilot”.
